Greetings! I am Reverend Eric F. Gooden, the Executive Director of Truly Honored To Serve Outreach Ministry. My roots in the small town of Bryan, Texas, instilled in me a profound love and compassion for others. As a young boy, my life revolved around a spirit of devotion and a genuine concern for the well-being of those around me. Raised by my loving parents, Frank and Velma Gooden, who dedicated themselves to Christian ministry and caring for others, I observed their selfless acts, laying the very foundation for my calling in God’s ministry and community service.
In 1998, at the age of 26, I accepted my divine calling to preach the Gospel under the mentorship of the late Dr. Nathan Ross, my esteemed “Father in the Ministry,” at the Burrell Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Angleton, Texas. Later, in August 2014, I humbly accepted God’s divine assignment as the Pastor of True Honor Baptist Church.
A true gift from the Almighty, my unwavering strength and support comes from my beloved 1st Lady, Sis Natondra Owens-Gooden. Together, we have joined forces to build the Kingdom of God one soul at a time.
The formation of this nonprofit stems from our unshakable belief that God’s ministry is best exemplified through dedicated service to the community. Our nonprofit is more than just a vision; it is the very work of the Lord in action—a testament to our commitment to making a profound and lasting impact on the lives we touch.
We are deeply honored to serve, and together, with the support of our compassionate community, we endeavor to spread the light of hope, love, and compassion to all, walking hand in hand on this transformative journey of empowering hearts and changing lives.
